EagleForce is organizing the EagleCourse Winter Workshop to promote STEM in a virtual setting. The workshop will introduce 6th-8th graders to a web-based version of AutoCAD, a Computer-Aided Design (CAD) program used by professionals in engineering fields. Students will receive instruction and complete CAD exercises to build their understanding of engineering design. Using the skills taught, students will custom design their own laser-cut keychain and box. Both these projects plus a Winter Workshop t-shirt will be received after the workshop.
Workshop sessions will take place virtually via Zoom once a week, over the course of 4 weeks, led by a qualified Pleasant Grove High School instructor and several high school counselors from the Pleasant Grove High School robotics team (EagleForce). There will be 4 sessions total on Saturdays from 10:00am – 12:00pm.
$40 covers materials for projects and a t-shirt
